Hydrotherapy meets artistry in the handmade tubs of this French Canadian firm.

BainUltra bathtubs are made with care and an uncompromising attention to detail. More than 70% of the firm’s manufacturing process is done by by hand, making them as much a sculptural artwork as a hard-working fixture. Apart from their beauty, BainUltra tubs feature hydro-thermo massage systems, as well as chromotherapy and aromatherapy, elements everyone is asking for these days. Let’s explore a little about what makes them so special.

It’s about more than just beauty.

The number and strategic positioning of the air jets, powered by a 600-watt turbine, deliver an effective, even massage to specific acupressure points located all over your body, including your legs, back and arms. BainUltra’s inverted “V” backrest provides a perfect massage from the lower back to the nape of your neck. The raised seat lets you specifically target the back of your legs, too. The company’s proprietary Geysair technology heats and humidifies the air jets to maintain water temperature and provide a long lasting and more comfortable hydro-thermo massage.

They’re designed for comfort.

BainUltra designs their tubs to be as ergonomic as possible to provide bathers the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. The molded headrest, armrest and footrest support and cradle the body to deliver a restorative bathing experience. The heated backrest further soothes your muscles. Optional grab bars make it easy (and a bit more graceful!) to get in and out of the tub.

Cleanliness is next to godliness.

A unique drainage system in each of their tub designs ensures optimal hygiene, an important factor in your overall health. The conduits drain and dry fully so there’s no stagnant water and a drying cycle activates automatically after your bath. It’s pretty ingenious and does the work for you. Plus, BainUltra uses pure acrylic finishes that also boost the clean factor: it’s easy to clean because it’s non-porous and hygienic and it’s durable and low-maintenance. Scratches and stain—not an issue! Finishes are available in either glossy or matte. And the rest is up to anything you can envision.
