The Very Best of Outdoor Grilling

It’s spring and our thoughts are turning to favorite outside endeavors, like grilling for friends and family. With that in mind, we’re taking a look at some of our favorite products, both classic designs and new-to-market concepts. The outdoor living category is a major component of what we do at Snyder Diamond, and we couldn’t be happier to offer such an amazing range of luxury options. Function, style, design, and so many options—choosing a grill simply comes down to what's right for you. A visit to our showrooms will help you determine the model that best suits your needs. Grilling is all about having fun and it should be a pleasure to use them. (If you're looking for other great outdoor ideas to refresh your outside living spaces , we have plenty of those too!)

Hestan Outdoor manufactures premium residential grills and complimentary outdoor products. Their built-in and freestanding grills offer side burners and worktops, stainless-steel designs, and a terrific range of color finishes. Their new Hestan Stainless Steel Outdoor Living Suites, inspired by their commercial line, are 100-percent stainless steel and measure up to twelve feet. As well, the company recently released the new Aspire by Hestan models, a line of professional grills that feature a sleek stainless-steel design available in five finishes.

Kalamazoo is one of the most instantly recognizable brands in the grilling world and a favorite of chefs like Wolfgang Puck. Its high-performance grills are known the world over, especially its popular Gaucho Grill, which makes Argentine-style grilling and rotisserie cooking a breeze. (Designer Laurie Haefele is a fan!) Its Hybrid Fire Grill is another favorite. Changing the fuel is as simple as opening a drawer and dropping in either charcoal or wood for a true, live-fire experience. The company also recently released many of its iconic designs in a new marine-grade stainless steel, which make it all the more impervious to salt air. They've got a great new smoker to boot.

For some twenty years, Alfresco has been a leading purveyor of outdoor grills and pizza ovens, as well as refrigeration systems and accessories like deep fryers, teppanyaki griddles, and woks. Their restaurant-inspired designs for home use are some of our most favorite products. We’re told New York Yankee Derek Jeter is a fan, too.

Lynx offers an incredible range of grills, from a petit 27-inches all the way to 54-inch units, both free standing and built in. The SmartGrill provides hundreds of recipes via the SmartGrill app for iOS and Android and uses Wi-Fi to connect to an online database that guides you through optimal grilling. The SmartGrill even follows voice commands and adjusts its cooking accordingly. And if you’re not paying attention, audio and visual alerts will be sent when it’s time to flip the burgers. It's the perfect grill for tech-focused folks. To round out your patio installation, Lynx also manufactures cocktail stations (built-in or rolling, which you can see in the slideshow image), patio heaters, create-your-own islands, refrigeration, and even Bluetooth outdoor speakers.

Viking Outdoor offers a spectacular range of grilling systems, charcoal and electric smokers, ventilation systems, and cabinetry with specialty features like warming drawers. There are 24-inch deep grills, grills with whopping 25,000 BTU burners, rotisserie burners, and myriad other features. If you can imagine it, Viking probably offers it. Their complete line of outdoor products can create your ultimate outdoor kitchen—one that rivals any indoor design. It’s everything you need outside, from appetizer and drinks prep to the main courses and even desserts.

Wolf also offers a range of freestanding and built-in grills—all of which put an emphasis on precise heat control, the key to good cooking. Precision heat (controlled and direct) delivers a flawless finish. Gas grill models come in natural gas or LP, and can be built in to virtually any outdoor space. And with double-wall stainless steel construction, they’re rustproof and water resistant.

Architect David Rockwell of Rockwell Group recently partnered with the Caliber Range Corporation to design a 360-degree grill that, like a campfire, encourages everyone to gather round and socialize. When opened, the aluminum hood slips under the cooking element, creating a 5-foot-long surface that is accessible from all sides, with a handy storage shelf directly below the grill.

But one of the new items we’re most excited about is the modular outdoor cabinet from Brown Jordan. For its innovative design, which you see below, Brown Jordan partnered with Dekton by Cosentino and Daniel Germani Designs. The ASA-D2, as it’s officially called, is a modular concept that enhances any setting with its versatility. Its clever design gives consumers the flexibility to select from four finishes and choose their appliance options, while its 360-degree functionality provides access to storage and shelving on both sides of the unit. Plus, with its aluminum structure and stainless steel body, it’s able to withstand the most severe weather conditions… not that we really have that concern in Southern California. It’s technically only a prototype at this point, but we understand it could be yours if you really, really want it.
