SIA Projects & Modernism Week 2018: A Night at the Dinah Shore Estate
As many of you know, designers Ron Woodson and Jaime Rummerfield of Woodson & Rummerfield recently launched their non-profit organization, Save Iconic Architecture (SIA Projects), to help protect local buildings of merit from demolition. The organization nominates endangered structures, both commercial and residential, and offers owners guidance through the historical designation process, which can often be a long and arduous endeavor.
This spring, SIA Projects is partnering with Palm Springs Modernism to host a fundraiser at the Dinah Shore estate. The home, located in the Old Las Palmas neighborhood of Palm Springs, was designed by architect Donald Wexler in 1964, and has been made all the more famous by its new owner Leonardo DiCaprio. But why are we talking about a spring event when it’s only October? Because tickets go on sale on November 1st and it’s an event you won’t want to miss!
