Kreoo by Decormarmi

It’s Friday, and time for some eye candy—by which we mean a look at the spectacular designs from Kreoo by Decormarmi, newly available in our showrooms.  The Italian company is all about exceptional creativity, curiosity and experimentation, which results in precision-cut marble designs that would make even Michelangelo swoon. From their architectural tiles to their furnishings (which include stools, shelving, tables) and garden pieces, Kreoo, which is based in Vicenza, is doing some pretty incredible work, thanks in large part to its chief designers, Enzo Berti and Raffaello Galiotto, but also to the 50-year experience of its parent company, the family-run marble business, Decormarmi. Blending contemporary design with marble-cutting techniques that range from ancient to cutting edge, they’re able to play with new thicknesses, new shapes and colors, new decorative carving and unexpected pairings like Murano glass, metals and wood. The name Kreoo comes from the Greek verb kraino, meaning “to create, to realize.” Scroll through the images above and you just might find the inspiration to create and to realize a little something of your own. Below, explore some of the latest designs released by Kreoo this year. As with all of the company's offerings, each design is available in an array of colors and finishes.

The Cashmere sink’s sinuous oval shape features a projection that extends beyond the washbasin to create a surface for functional or decorative items. Its name reflects the incredible smoothness and softness of the marble.

Fazzoletto sinks are carved from a single piece—a single piece!—of onyx. The design is based on the folds of a napkin, yet it almost looks like a water lily.

The intriguing shape of the Gong washbasin—a hollowed-out oval—becomes all the more surprising when lined with spectacular materials like gold leaf.

Adding to the customizable options for all of their designs, Kreoo has introduced three new Filigrana designs that can be applied to any of their designs: an abstract pattern of lines, a playful bubbles-like pattern and a classical filigree.
